Crissy Doty, is an Iowa native and a graduate from The University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She spent 4 years teaching Kindergarten in Chicago during which time she earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Viterbo University. While in Chicago, Crissy discovered EL Education at Polaris Charter Academy and was amazed at the meaningful and authentic learning embraced by both teachers and students. After a move to Denver, Crissy was happy to find her school home at DDES, and loves building crew and authentic learning opportunities in this community. In her free time, Crissy enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, and exploring with her husband Eric.
